6-Step Process for Clearing Relationship Upsets

This process will give you hands-on tools to help you resolve upsets and conflicts in your relationship. During a conflict, your first response may be to put your blame and focus on your partner—which only creates this same experience again. Listen to this audio to help you turn within and follow these simple, yet often challenging, steps.

When to Use

You Are Experiencing:

Upset from a recent (or past) conflict

Blame toward your partner

Regret over how you reacted

Shame from repeating an old pattern

You Want To:

Shift the energy around this upset

Create peace in your relationship

Grow from the upset in a positive way

Experience a new, healing pattern

Session Transcript

Think of something in the last few days that your partner did that triggered you emotionally. Now write it down. Write the upset in as much detail as you would like. Pause the audio to do this.

Now write down how you responded once you felt upset. Pause the audio again to do this. Ask yourself the question, “What did I put my focus on in my response? Did I focus my energy outward by blaming my partner either in word or thought? Or, did I own the upset as my creation and claim the energy back to create what I want?”

To reclaim the energy, follow these 6 steps.

Acknowledge you are upset to yourself.
Recognize you are repeating a pattern.
Release the messenger of your upset. Thank them and turn within yourself.
Feel your feelings as you take deep cleansing breaths.
Allow the energy of your feelings to come to a state of neutral.
Write down what you would like to experience in place of what happened.

List what you would like to experience in place of the upset. Pause the audio to do this.

Now imagine the next time an upset presents itself. See yourself following through with these 6 simple steps and experiencing a new and improved outcome. How do you feel? Notice how you feel differently as you claim the energy to create what you want.

Trying to change your physical experience by fixing your outer world is like pulling weeds and not getting the root of the weed out. The weed is going to come back. The upset is an effect. The cause is your old energy of lack, pain, and struggle that you keep recycling. Remember, you are choosing to upgrade your energy to one of affluence, ease, and joy. And it takes repeating these steps over and over to do it. These 6 simple steps are incredibly powerful and will shift your upsets to become moments of powerful transformational tools in your life.
