This visualization will help you release energy, feelings, patterns, or life problems you may have taken on from other people. If you carry other people’s energetic baggage, you keep yourself stuck and you block others from potential growth. You are listening so that you can return energetic baggage to its proper owner, which is a gift to both them and to you.
When to Use
You Are Experiencing:
Heaviness from other people’s problems
Obligation for others’ baggage
Anger about drama that isn’t yours
Painful family or friendship issues
You Want To:
Be accountable for only your energy
Love others without taking on their issues
Create correct boundaries for yourself
Distinguish between your energy and others’
Repeat this affirmation after me. I am releasing any known and unknown energetic baggage to its proper owner. I am knowing the difference between my own energy and others. I am free to know and be accountable for my own energy. Close your eyes and turn your attention inward. Imagine you are standing in the light, take a deep breath, and feel your body becoming more relax as you exhale. Take another deep breath, exhale, and relax. As you stand in the light, you happen to look down and you see all of these baggage surrounding you. It’s down by your feet. It’s piled up around you. Maybe you see it as suitcases or luggage. Maybe it looks like big, black plastic garbage bags full of stuff. Whatever form it takes, notice all of this baggage around you. You also see that there are identity tags on each piece of baggage, and most of the baggage does not have your name on it. There could be a lot of the baggage that belongs to an individual person. For example, you might see mom on a lot of the baggage tags and realize you’ve been carrying your mom’s baggage since you were a kid. Maybe it has your dad’s name on it or your spouse’s name on it, or any old boyfriend or girlfriend. Perhaps the name of a sibling or a close friend. It could even be an employer. And you notice that some of the baggage has written on the ID tag unknown. It’s just miscellaneous energy you have picked up throughout your life.
Now, imagine you walk about 10 feet and you have to pick up all the baggage and take it with you. Notice how that feels. Does it feel heavy? Annoying? It takes a lot of your time and energy? Are you feeling frustrated? Take a deep breath and exhale. Now, that you know that most of the baggage does not belong to you, you can let it go and return it to its proper owner. You invite angel couriers to come in and take the baggage and return it to the owner. Even the unknown gets returned as the angels know who it belongs to. This can happen quickly. Use as many angels as you need to allow the process to happen quickly. As it is happening, imagine turning your head upward, take a deep breath, exhale and then look down. You notice that there is almost no baggage around you. The little bit that is left has your name on it. And you know that it is diminishing because of the work that you are doing in the healing center. You fill the space that was occupied by other’s baggage and fill it up with what you want. It could be bags of money, bags of feeling joyful, bags of confidence, bags of healthy relationships. Whatever you want. Just imagine bags of that around you. Take a deep breath and exhale. Anytime you feel you are taking on someone else’s baggage as an old habit, return to this visualization to give it back. Come back into present time. Feel your body. Open your eyes, take your hands and cup them in front of you. Take the energy of this visualization that is now holding what you want energetically and place it in your cupped hands. Bring that energy into your heart to become one with you, placing your hands on the center of your chest. Take a deep breath and ground the energy into your body.
